BRF/BRF-A • Fireproof strips

Fire resistant flexible strips installed indoors around MEPLA plastic pipes passing through a construction element, in order to prevent the propagation of fire. The material expand from 2 mm to 10-12 mm around 100°C. The intumescent strips close off the air spaces in a fire safe manner and help cool the opening. Available in non-adhesive type BRF and adhesive tyep BRF-A with length of 1 m, width of 180 mm and thicjness of 2 mm.

• Type BRF-A self-adhesive at one side

• To wrap around MEPLA pipe at the site of a penetration through compartment walls.
• Seal with mortar

• Tested according to EN 1366-3
• Aerated concrete ≥ 150 mm | EI 120 | Mortar | 2 layers BRF around MEPLA pipe dia 63
• Aerated concrete ≥ 100 mm | EI 120 | Not applicable | 4x2 layers BRF around MEPLA pipe dia 75 - (4x 180mm = 720mm)

• Fire resistant strips will be wrapped around MEPLA plastic pipes passing through construction elements of the compartimentation within the building.
