KG5/KG10-Kp (PAE GPE) • Gateway framework kit for communication between up to 5 or 10 units in cascade

When multiple EVEREST 290 units are cascaded, the individual units must communicate with each other. For this purpose, a gateway panel must be used (KG5-Kp (PAE GPE) kit if the system consists of 2 to 5 units or KG10-Kp (PAE GPE) kit if the system consists of 6 to 10 units) to which each unit must be connected via a data cable of the RJ45 ETHERNET type.

• Gateway communication kit for 2 to 5 units (KG5-Kp (PAE GPE)) or 6 to 10 units (KG10-Kp (PAE GPE) in cascade: Card for creating a data communication network between multiple modular EVEREST units in cascade. A space is provided on the back of the front panel of each EVEREST unit to mount the closed board containing this card (supplied as a kit).
• It is advisable to install the KG5-Kp (PAE GPE) or KG10-Kp (PAE GPE) kit on one of the two units on the outside of the modular system. In this case, removing one of the units from the system does not mean that the network cables of the other units have to be re-laid.
• The supply and installation of the cables for data transmission is the responsibility of the installer.
• The data cable to be used must be suitable for external installations, UV-resistant and in any case suitable for the environmental conditions expected at the installation site.
• A non-inverting Ethernet cable of at least category 6 is recommended.
• The data cables must be physically separated from the power cables. It is necessary to create a special pipeline to avoid failures due to electromagnetic interference.
