The differential pressure valve (518500) is used in installations that may operate with significant flow differences, for example in installations that make extensive use of thermostatic valves or motorized two-way valves. The controller ensures a return flow proportional to the number of valves closing by limiting the maximum value of the differential pressure generated by the pump. In heat pump systems, differential pressure regulators are used to ensure the minimum flow rate required for proper operation.
The differential pressure by-pass valve can be mounted at any location between the supply and return pipe, provided that the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body is observed.
