Safety group (SFR 1852550) with shut-off valve and check valve for hot water installations to protect the water heater. According to current legislation it is mandatory to install a safety group for each appliance that heats water.
The safety group should be connected directly to the cold water inlet of the hot water heater. The outlet side of the group should face down and should be connected to the drain pipe through the siphon (SSG). To prevent leaks from the safety group due to expansion when the water heats up, an expansion vessel should be installed. If the pressure of the water at the inlet exceeds 3 bar, it is advisable to install a pressure regulator (PRV).
